Blackheath 14 Moseley 54

Binns scored the first try followed by Caves and Mason in the first half.
Second half scorers were Rodwell (2), a penalty try, Jones and Buxton right
on the final whistle.
Moseley's first try showed their ambition, which started with Winter running
the ball out from 5m line. The move continued to the half way line where
Willaims (prop) then went on the rampage showing his speed and power. The
move ended up with Binns touching down under the posts.
Nathan Bressington was unlucky to have a try disallowed late in the second
half. None of the Blackheath supporters around me could see a foot in touch.
Moseley played pretty well without over-exterting themselves. The wind
played it's part which affected the line-outs and some of the back play. The
halfbacks were excellent and look very promising. Despite being much faster
and fitter than Blackheath we still seemed to give away a disprortionate
amount of penalties in the loose and even lost a ball against the head in
the scrum. That said there was a considerable gulf between the teams and
Blackheath will doubtless be one of the stronger teams in Nat 2.
