Hooker, joins Moseley from Henley.
27 years old (DOB: 12.07.79),
Occupation: Builder
An experienced campaigner,
a former full-timer who spent
five seasons at Worcester (being first choice between 2001 and 2003) after
moving from his home-town club, Gloucester.
Leaving Worcester after their first Premiership season, he spent 2005/6 playing with Moseley's
National Two rivals Henley Hawks.
"He wanted some time away from the game to do some other things,"
Moseley Coach Ian Smith said, on his
recruitment, "But he
is back involved again and looks very good in training.
"He could prove to be a very valuable asset because he is not just
experienced but he is a very, very talented rugby player. I have known him
for a few years and he's very quick on the uptake and he under-stands
patterns and the game and makes great decisions.
"Chris is composed as well; when you have played at a higher level you bring
composure to a side and that's going to stand us in good stead."
Smith, however, stressed that his pedigree would not make him a certainty
for that role, saying: "It very much depends on what Adam and Bicky do. Who
would have thought that Bick would have kept Caves out for most of last
season? He's fit so far but it's about what happens during a game that
matters." |
