04 June 2009 - Moseley Matters Squad Update

Moseley Matters today confirms that

Dual Registered players
Returning players who would be dual registered with Moseley and Gloucester include Henry Trinder, Charlie Sharples, Jordi Pasqualin, Tristan Roberts, Dan Williams, and Yann Thomas.

Exciting newcomers who also come into this category this year include Freddie Burns (fly half), Johnny May (centre), and Charlie Simpson Daniel (wing converted from scrum half).

There are some other players covered by Moseley’s arrangement with Gloucester who will be announced later after the proper procedures have been followed.

Departures
The club would like to thank Paul Arnold, Ritchie Bignall, Ollie Thomas and George Davis, who have left the club, for their much appreciated contributions. We trust they have enjoyed the Moseley experience on the pitch, the training ground, the community development team and the social side of the club.

They all know that they will be made very welcome as and when they return to Billesley (apart from the 80 minutes on the pitch if they’re playing for the opposition!).  We wish them well in the future:

Other players
There are still a couple of other places to be filled in the squad and these are currently being finalised. All others from last year’s squad have been signed or are in the process of doing so. (Some are away on holiday). The squad is looking good! A full squad list will appear in next month’s edition. Sign up for MM now

24 May 2009 - Moseley’s double International scoop

Moseley Coach Ian Smith said  "Justin was outstanding when playing for Plymouth against us in April and we have had good reports from Canada about Bryn. They will complement the returning and new, dual registered England Academy three quarters who will be with us next season”

30 April 2009 - Rodders receives supporters award

Following the Plymouth game James Rodwell was presented with the Lionel Moriaty Memorial Golden Boot, as a result of the annual e-mail poll of supporters. The voting was particularly hard fought after this spectacular season with 18 players receiving a significant number of votes. The award was presented by Lionel's widow Deborah, and Club President, Derek Nutt.

James joins an illustrious group of players to receive the award, which, since it's inauguration in 1987 has included Mark Linnett and Darragh O’Mahony  as well as Richard Stott, Ollie Thomas Neil Mason and Andy Binns from the current squad. Read the history of the award HERE
