| Flanker (Openside) - born
1988 (4th Feb) - a Worcester Academy openside flanker on loan in
Feb 2009 but was injured, and returns for 2009/10. Jake is already turning heads at Worcester as an openside
flanker of huge promise. Abbott has been at Worcs since the age of six
as a mini/junior and in 2007/08 played for Stourbridge in National
Division Two making 5 starts and scoring a try. A captain of the Guinness A League side, Abbott made his first senior start versus London Irish in the EDF Energy Cup in October 2008 and scored a first try for the Warriors against Harlequins in the same competition a month later. Formerly captain for the Midlands Under 20's team, most recently starred in the U20 side (including a try at Billesley) that reached the semi final in the 2007/8 County Championship. Jake is well known to players and parent in recent Colts sides having played against Moseley for just about every one of the last 10 years! Height 1.80 m (5' 11") |
