Profile - Justin Mensah-Coker

 

Winger  born 1983(18 Nov. Vancouver) Mensah-Coker joined Moseley for 2009/10 from Plymouth Albion having previously been at top French side Albi. At 6’6” he is reportedly the tallest winger in international rugby. played in the 2005 Rugby 7's World Cup in Hong Kong, and again in 2009 in Dubai.  

Justin, who is of Sierra Leonean descent, made his Canada debut against the USA in June, 2006 and most recently played in their World cup qualifiers in Summer 2009.
He joined Plymouth in August 2008, and made 25 appearances (19 starts) for Albion last season. He played in both games against Moseley in 2008/09
At High School in Vancouver, he excelled at basketball, earning scholarship offers to a number of US universities. Instead of pursuing those offers, he earned a place on Canada’s Under-19 team tour to Italy and chose to play rugby.
He then went to the U23 Pacific Sport rugby academy for two years and has played for Canada’s Sevens team at many tournaments including the Rugby Sevens World Cup in 2005 and the Commonwealth Games in 2006.
Justin scored three tries in his first five games for Canada and signed for Albi in France in September, 2006.
