Profile - Richard Protherough

 
Hooker, born 9th November ( 1976 - Cheltenham) Former Team Captain re-joins Moseley from semi-retirement as cover at the start of the 2009/10 season.

Former Midlands U16's and U18's(capt) and U21's. England Schools, U16's, u18's and U21's player. England semi finalist in the Student World Cup 2000, England Colts, Midland Colts (Capt), played for Worcester and Loughborough University before joining Moseley in 1998. One time joint record holder - most individual tries in a match: for 3 v Henley in March 2002, top try scorer for season 2001 - 02 (with 7!) - over 90 career appearances. Richard moved on to Coventry in 2003 after captaining the "New Moseley's" valiant attempt to stay in ND1 with a team of youngsters.

Recently appointed as Director of Rugby at Old Coventrians having coached OCs Colts to a clean sweep of Warwickshire competitions and a strong run in the National Cup, in 2008/09.
