Canadian U20 International from Down Under Bolsters the Back Line for the 2018/2019 Season

Director of Rugby, Richard Protherough has used the current season to bring in new talented youngsters and integrate them with the more experienced members of the squad in readiness for a push for promotion in the 2018/2019 season.

To support that aim Richard has now begun recruitment for next season by signing new centre, Sam Hayward. He will join a backline which includes Ollie Allsopp and Sam Pointon, who have both now re-signed for next season. Also re-signing for next season we are pleased to announce are forwards Jay Tyack, Joe Wrafter, and Josh Poole. With 13 of the current squad on two year contracts, for the first time for some years Richard is able to begin pre-season with a team experienced in playing together and keen to build on this year.

Congratulations to Mike & Tim

Congratulations to Mike Penn and Tim Molenaar who reached milestones for the club on Saturday

Mike made his 100th appearance against Rosslyn Park, while Tim clocked up 50.

Well done both of you and here's to many more.

Message from The Chairman

Dear Supporters

It is that time of the year when we look back on our achievements over the past season and plan for the future.

This season we brought together a team of both established and young talented players. Together with our links with The Army and Worcester, we have been able to hold our own in the league. You will recall in my message last year we had to cut our budget to reflect our financial position. This season was an opportunity to develop some of our inexperienced players and on the whole I am sure you will agree we have seen some stand out performances. Our front row has been comprised of some of the youngest players in the league but our pack has become one of the most feared.

Hopefully this will give us a good platform to greater success next season.

You will be pleased to hear that gate and most season ticket prices are unchanged for next season.

For details of season ticket prices and to download an application to become a season ticket holder

If your personal details are unchanged you may wish to renew your season ticket on line. This can be done through the club website and the club shop portal.

Following the success of the incentive last year we are again offering vouchers to those who have submitted and paid for their application by 30 June 2018. This year, however, we have doubled the vouchers to 4, which can be exchanged for tickets at a match or matches of your choice.

As ever season ticket holders will have the opportunity to apply for International Tickets. Details will be on the website during the season.

Voluntary help is always needed and at present we would welcome assistance with gates and car parking, plus someone with experience of accounts. Please contact the Club Office if you can spare some time for YOUR club.

I am closing with the usual request for help with encouraging both individual applications and Corporate Members. We have excellent packages to suit all pockets and ask you to spread the word.

Further details can be obtained from Ajay Dodhia in the Club Office, 0121 443 3631 or by email, info@moseleyrugby.co.uk.

Thank you for your continued support.

Dave Warren.

Birmingham Moseley sign new centre / wing

The club would like to welcome Australian Centre / wing Alistair Haining who joins the 1st XV Squad for this weeks game against Plymouth Albion.

23 year old Alistair has played in the National Rugby Championship for Perth Spirit along with Cottesloe in the Pindan Premier League.

Birmingham Moseley bring in both bulk and experience to their second row.

Birmingham Moseley are delighted to announce the signing of South African, Brendon Snyman to strengthen their second row.

Brendon, 33, was born in Pietersberg, South Africa. He stands 6ft 7ins tall, weighing just under 19 stone.

Director of Rugby, Richard Protherough said:

"I'm pleased to welcome Brendon to our squad. We have made do with only 2
specialist 2nd rows in our squad; with Buster Lawrence and Ciaran Moore being able to move up from the backrow when required. With Lewis Bean’s army commitments, it is an area we knew we'd need to strengthen and to be able to add a player of Brendon's skills and experience at this stage in season is a real bonus."
