MOSELEY finished their National One preparations on a
high note with victory over a strong Worcester second string.
And the hostsí ever reliable Ollie Thomas, who dropped back to full-back for this encounter looked in his usual sparkling form with 17 points.
On a perfect Billesley Common pitch Moseley got the scoring under way with a try after four minutes.
Winger Nathan Bressington was dragged down metres from the line but Thomas swooped in to scoop up possession and dive over before tucking away the conversion.
Worcester were looking rusty and threw away a tryscoring opportunity on 10 minutes following some hesitant play by Uche Oduoza near the line.
But the visitorsí breakthrough arrived three minutes later, centre Chris Pennell skipping past Thomas to touch down while James Brown converted.
Thomas slotted away a penalty on 17 minutes but Worcester enjoyed a fruitful stab for the rest of the first half.
Craig Everett touched down at the back of a driving maul on 28 minutes and Jamie Lennard squirmed his way over on the left flank just after the half hour to lift the score to 19-10.
Moseley hit back through a converted Paul Arnold try just before the interval but Pennell grabbed his second Worcester try at the start of the second half.
However, Moseley clicked into gear on 50 minutes and charged to victory with some slick moves.
First winger Carl Colvin shrugged off the attentions of Oduoza to dive over in the left corner and Thomas added the extras.
Then a good move on the right flank on 65 minutes saw Thomas feed Arnold who laid off replacement Matt Skelding for the final try of the day.
Thomasís perfect kicking record was blotted when his final conversion bounced off the post.
SCORERS: Moseley: Tries: Thomas, Arnold, Colvin, Skelding. Conversions: Thomas (3). Penalties: Thomas (2).
