Courage Clubs Championship - 1987/1988

 

1987/88: Courage Leagues begin.  In the top tier 12 clubs, including Moseley played each other in just one League fixture per year, with no set date for fixtures
Relegation and Promotion: Two clubs up, two down.
Relegated: Coventry and Sale
Promoted: Rosslyn Park and Liverpool St Helens
Champions: Leicester

Points were awarded as follows:
 4 points awarded for a win,
2 points for a draw and
1 simply for playing

Nottingham v Moseley was the very first League game, at Beeston on the 5th September 1987.
