Buses and Trains
Seven bus routes, with services every few minutes, make access easy from anywhere in Birmingham. Why drive?
Buses 2 and 12 from the city centre both stop right outside the Yardley Wood Road entrance.
Route 2 - Every 12 Minutes: City Centre - Sparkbrook - Billesley - Warstock / Maypole VIA Birmingham Markets, Camp Hill, Showell Green Lane and Yardley Wood Road
Route 12 - Every 10-12 minutes: City Centre - Stoney Lane - Billesley - Yardley Wood / Shirley Station VIA Birmingham Markets, Camp Hill, Yardley Wood Road and Swanshurst Park
The outer circle route (No 11) passes about 100 yards
North of the ground, along Brook Lane, stopping at the Billesley fire station or
Swanshurst School. Route 11A [Outer Circle,
Anticlockwise] Every 10 minutes: Perry Barr - Bearwood - Cotteridge -
Kings Heath - Acocks Green - Erdington - Perry Barr
The 69 and 76 also come close, stopping on Hollybank Lane, on the West side of the ground.
Route 69 - Every 20 Minutes:
Solihull - Selly Oak - Weoley Castle
Route 76 - Every 20 Minutes:
Kings Heath - Shirley - Solihull - Damsonwood
The very frequent No. 50 service along Alcester Road, through Moseley and Kings Heath, is also within a few minutes walk.
Route 50 - Every 4 minutes: City Centre - Moseley - Kings Heath - Maypole - Druids Heath VIA Bradford Street, Highgate, Moseley Road and Alcester Lanes End
Trains from Birmingham Snow Hill (a few minutes walk from New Street) to Stratford Upon Avon call at Yardley Wood station and this is approximately 15 minutes walk from the ground. Trains from Worcester to Stratford Upon Avon also call at Yardley Wood station. (Buses 2, 12, (above) can be used to transfer between the ground and the rail station).
