Under 8 Match Report V Old Hales (home) Sun 13/10/2013

Moseley v Old Halesowenians – Sunday 13th October 2013

Match 1

Moseley 3 Old Hales 6

In driving rain, the yellow team of Moseley battled on regardless.  A very close first half ended 2-2, with Moseley tries coming in the form of a very well placed try from new recruit, John, and a well-battled one from Daniel.  The second half saw 4 very good tries from some quick Old Hales boys and, despite a fantastic try from Ethan who ran like a train and some good tagging by Adam, the final score was 3-6.

Match 2

Moseley 7 Old Hales 1

Moseley blue team really showed how it was done in this match, with a  triumphant score line.  Noelie, on one of his familiar runs, was first on the score sheet, followed by a super try from Josh.  Josh and Johnny were then integral to helping Henry score a lovely try before Joe sealed it 4 -0 before half time.  The second half saw more lovely tries – another from Josh and a couple of stunners from Noelie.  The whole team worked really hard and helped each other out to tag very well and repeatedly stop Old Hales in their tracks.  Well done boys.

Match 3

Moseley 3 Old Hales 3

The Moseley Reds were the last team to brave the awful weather and play a great game!  It was really entertaining to watch and the teams were very well-matched.  Stanley, who was a superstar today, started the scoring off by running the whole pitch to touch down.  Harvey followed suit with a cool, weaving try and a couple of great tries from Old Hales meant it was 2-2 at half time with all to play for.  The second half saw Stanley score again, after some ace twists and turns and a super try from Old Hales resulted in a fair final score of 3-3.  Despite the weather, the boys were all well spirited and made us proud.

Well done, Moseley.
