Hit-for-six Moseley lack spark (Birmingham Post)
Moseley’s abject defeat on a first visit to Meadow Lane kept them in the National One relegation zone.

Moseley, conceding six converted tries to a workmanlike but unspectacular Nottingham, lacked spark or creativity. Head coach Ian Smith said: “It might have been the early kickoff, but you have to be professional enough to deal with that.” Moseley lacked a forward platform and creativity although referee Llyr Ap Geraint Roberts seemed to turn a blind eye to off-side at the breakdown which led to frequent turnovers and a scrappy, disjointed contest.

But Nottingham, better organised in defence and more cohesive in attack, profited through fly-half Tom Barlow who set up wing Ben Thompson with a chip to the corner and ghosted through some static defence after wing Will Logan had scored a 13thminute opener.

A well-drilled pack shunted hooker Joe Duffey over for the bonus-point try on 47 minutes before Ollie Thomas replied with a well-crafted try. Rohaan Nirmalendran and David Wilkes scored tries in the last quarter.
