Sedgley Tigers 17 Moseley 44
Moseley made it two wins on the bounce with an emphatic victory against Sedgley Tigers. To twist the old cliché, it was a game of three halves. In the first 20 minutes, Moseley swept the Tigers aside and ran in four tries. To to their credit, Tigers came back into the game and by half time had pegged the score back to 22-17.
But any fears that Moseley would let the game slip through their fingers were banished with three unanswered tries in the second half. Moseley’s outstanding display included a hat-trick of tries from second row Muldowney, a couple from centre Adams, and further tries from centre Trinder and hooker Caves. Vasey landed a conversion and Thomas a penalty and two conversions.
Moseley will hope their inspired form is taken into a sequence of tough matches against top-six teams. This starts with a home game this Saturday against Doncaster, followed by away games against unbeaten Leeds and then Bedford.
