Worcester 17 Moseley 33
Worcester Colts, much depleted by injuries, played a strong Moseley Colts side in almost perfect conditions on Saturday.
Within a minute Moseley's pacey backs had moved the ball to the wing who scored in the corner with only a minute on the clock. The conversion was successful. Five minutes later Moseley scored again, only for the try to be disallowed by the referee for an inappropriate personal comment by a Moseley player.
Worcester replied with a pushover try on 15 minutes, Kyle Garner emerging with the ball. The conversion was secured by Andy Wilks, but it was not long before Moseley scored again following good backs play, the conversion being made on 24 minutes.
The Worcester forwards were more than a match for their Moseley counterparts, and on 33 minutes they supplied good quick ball for Kieran Morris to latch onto and score on the left. The conversion was missed. The half time score was Worcester 12 - 14 Moseley.
Moseley used their strong backs in the second half to move the ball away from the breakdown. They scored tries on 40, 50 and 60 minutes, only one conversion being missed.
Worcester, to their credit, did not stop playing rugby and despite losing Josh Roberts (thumb) and Kyle Garner (calf) came back for Richard Smith to go over in the corner for an unconverted try just before the final whistle.
