Junior Academy Match Report V Kidderminster Carolians (Away) Sun 24/01/2010

This was the first time Moseley had played Kidderminster Carolians at this age group for some time so we weren’t quite sure what to expect from the game. Especially after such an enforced prolonged holiday.

Despite missing quite a few players we just had a squad of fifteen. With players fitting in as best they could even if they were playing out of position.

On this unusually sunny morning Moseley started very brightly taking an early lead from the kick off.  The match was played very openly in parts despite the penalty count being very high against Moseley.

Kidderminster was awarded 3 penalties which fortunately for us they missed, otherwise the game would have taken on a very different complexion. Moseley continued to have penalties awarded against them resulting in a yellow card just before half time. Half time the score was 0 - 22.

Moseley continued to attack the Kidderminster defence in much the same way as they did in the first half and the score board continued to tick over. Charlie unfortunately had a try disallowed after a solo run from half way.

Towards the end of the half Kidderminster attacked with renewed enthusiasm that resulted in them scoring their try and converted this to take the final score to 7-47.
